>>I have been around the forums for a awhile and never had a post for the BOAS but I am happy to have a new pair and wanted everyone to know.
>>
>>I just "rescued" a possible male 6' and female7' for $200. I say rescued because the guy I bought them from didn't know snakes and didn't care much either (rather party then pay for food).
>>
>>I will start with the cage, thin walled wood, burned out bulb, landscape bark, fecal matter everywhere, brown water in a trash bag lined broken plastic tub, top opening just a one foot square, front glass broken and duct taped together (someone kicked it at a PARTY, and almost bone dry humidity.
>>
>>Now the feeding once every few weeks a couple of rats for the two (live) left in until they eat sometimes a day plus. As you can and I'm sure you have guessed several scars from the rats attacking. Under weight and sagging skin. Male in blue.
>>
>>The guy although an idiot wanted them to go to a good home he had gotten them a year ago from a freind of his that couldn't have them any more and just had them because they were "COOL" to l;ook at. He admitted to have no knowledge of snakes and I was more than willing to pay to SAVE these beautiful creatures.
>>
>>I will post some pics as soon as I can. I am interested in the locality origin of these two because they are little darker than I am used to although not as dark as Perus.
>>
>>thanks to all the great people out there in the forums.

>>a dog, two cats, two birds, four snakes
>>oh and three kids

Hey!Chris!Congrats on what sounded like a much needed rescue! It really agrivates me to see the way some people care for their pets or even better yet some pet stores!Yea it's great to have snakes as some would say,but even though it's really kool, these animals rely on us to keep good care of them an if one isnt going to take the time to educate themselves in order to give these animals their propper care then why put them threw that kind of misery or even worse yet maybe even death!Well it sounds like they have found that kind of care now, good luck with getting that guy an gal back in good health!Take care an thanks for posting,Eric
