Mussurana is the common name for several species found through central and south america. They are primarily snake eaters. They once were all considered Clelia but one of the species is now called Boiruna maculata.



C.clelia is found in central america and I've talked with several keepers who had them in the past who found it difficilt to impossible to get them to feed on rodents. I would guess that if one had a huge supply of feeder snakes that it wouldn't be a problem. Perhaps some king cobra keepers who have gotten their KC's to eat rats might have some insight on solving that problem.



C.clelia just aren't available ever it seems. I've personally never seen one for sale and I've been looking for 6 years or so.
