Imagine... my first reptile show... Young, impressionable, excited, never having seen that many reptiles in the same room before in my life...

I happen upon a table displaying Cooks Tree boas, mangrove snakes, and, what on earth could that be??? "It's a Ridleyi," Says Phil Blais, "Wanna hold him?"

I come around to the other side of the table, and he pulls out what must have been 9 feet of Ridleyi, his body even whiter (almost blond actually) than his daughter, posted above, white from his neck all the way down to his tail, no speckling, no shading. And tame as a kitten...

I think everyone has that one moment in their life that they knew, from then on, they were hooked... That was mine.
