As far as I know these are the only "Super Balls" which are Marble Borneo to ball crosses. Chris Jackson has had great success producing "Borneo Balls", normal Borneo to ball crosses, which are equally as beautiful with slight variance in appearance. I'm not so sure if the difference is due to the marble influence or just a natural variance.

The mom was a Marble Borneo, identifying the father is not as easy, she copulated with an albino ball, a poss het albino ball and a normal ball all around the same time, so some of the hybrid offspring may possibly be het for albino.

Last year I produced fertile appearing eggs from a hybrid to hybrid breeding, the eggs died out half way through the incubation process. I am uncertain if the eggs failed to go full term because of the "hybrid curse" or if it was due to the young age of the female, 18 months. I am breeding hybrid to hybrid again this season as well as hybrid to normal Borneo in hope of proving them fertile.

These animals were exciting to produce and have been great to work with, I guess I'll always be a sucker for hybrids. So far I have received positive feedback from all who have seen them!

Thanks for the interest Tom, let's keep our fingers crossed this season.

Steve
