help with young racer

i caught a young racer today, apprxly. 10 inches, still with the young coloring. I put it in a 10 gallon with grass and some bark as substrate , also with a rock and a fairly large water dish for soaking etc. Is this okay? i think im gonna try to feed it a pinky soon, but am i doing everythin okay> t hanks
