I keep my room at about 78 degrees. The cages ambient temps are around 84 degrees and the continuous hot spot is kept at about 95 degrees. Works for me, could be tweaked. I think the most important thing to remember is that gravid females want to be around 86 to 88 degrees for about 16 to 18 hours a day. THe only time they measured cooler is right when they went to sit on the hot spot. Then it takes a couple of hours to get their temps up. The coolest I have ever seen my females (at least this time)was around 82 degrees, and this was when they were on the cold side with ambient temps around 80 degrees.
