Posted by: Yasser at Wed Mar 2 21:30:36 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Yasser ] Mocha, one of our gravid West Papuans began laying late this morning and finished up tonight with 11 fertile eggs and 1 infertile. The entire clutch weighed 516 grams and she weighed 1056 grams after laying. She went into the breeding season at about 1600 grams so it seems she assimilated those fat reserves into eggs quite well. The only downer to this is that the one infertile egg ended our 100% fertility streak with our WPs.....it's the first infertile egg we have ever gotten from any WP we have ever bred. Oh well...I am pleased to say the least. | ||
