While at Daytona I saw some nice Venezuelan BCC on Gus Rentfro of Rio Bravo Reptiles table and asked him where one would find these. My wife, who is from Venezuela, was with me and we both laughed when Gus said the best place to find boas was at the city dump of Caracas lol. When you think about it this makes a lot of sense since there is a plentiful supply of rodents there with many places for the boas to hide and call home. So you may want to consider this. It doesn't quite meet your expectations of trouncing through the brush or desert though does it?
