Don't make the mistake of powerfeeding your boas to make them huge. Just because they are big doesn't not make them great breeders. I'd say after 3-4 four years of a properly fed snake you could attempt breeding. 1 male and 1 female are fine. Some folks have had luck breeding many females with just one male. Also, some people believe that the more animals that are available will stimulate more breeding behavior. And yes, you should try to get an unrelated pair. Also, a word of advice on hets. Be sure that you are working with a reputable breeder. Just because they say it is a het does not necessary prove that it is. A reputable breeder should have no problem showing you the parents...that way you know youre buying a het and not just your everyday BCI. Hope that helps
