First, I saw your post on the sub-forum, but just didn't have the time to respond when I saw it. I think that as more people remember that the sub-forums exist, they'll be frequented more often, and you'll be getting responses more quickly.



As to your question...



For me, I like to have my females be around 200 grams before they are bred. I have had accidents occur, and even had a 145 gram yearling produce six viable eggs for me one year, with no ill effects. Of course the problem with snakes that are too small being gravid is that you run the risk of them having problems, but I have actually seen more prblems from older first timers that are overweight, than I have from animals that are too young and too small. Even so, I don't like to risk it either way.



As for the males, well they can be bred as soon as they aren't afraid of being eaten by a larger female. I have had some that would fulfill their duties at less than a year old, but most wait until their second year to get amorous.
