I closed some of the vent but left one open to allow a good air transfer. anyway what I use is cypress mulch which I keep thicker on the hot side of the enclosure. I use a spray bottle and wet down the mulch then I flip it around until dry mulch is exposed and wet it down. until all the mulch is moist I wouldn't wet it too much. The thicker mulch will hold the moisture and drive up the humidity. It may be better to put it toward the cooler side of the enclosure. I find it works good for me on the hot side my substate gets a chance to dry out from the heat lamp and I have to mist half of the enclosure. I worry about mold misting the cool side since it seemed to say wetter longer but I havn't had any problems with mold change out the substrate you should be cool.I have a diamond jungle cross and I keep the enclosure around 40%rh normally but when she is shedding I will run it higher at 60%rh but not to exceed 80%rh. | ||
