I had a small, temporary cage that I bought in a rush (before I started building my own enclosures) to separate a female monitor that was a shy feeder. Despite my sealing the corners and edges of the enclosure, the humidity of the substrate itself was enough to rot the floor. By the time she was ready to be moved into a new enclosure she had dug a hole right through to the roof of the cage below (the only thing preventing her from escaping). | ||
