You can search the web for any petshops specializing in herps that are near you. there are several FAQ pages and caresheets on the web, which generally give you a good idea of the basic. but i would strongly recommend getting a publication such as

Green Water Dragons, Sailfin Lizards and Basilisks by Philippe De Vosjoli (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/104-8036625-7888739) if thi i your first reptile i would recommend reconsidering. the are pretty flighty and tend to bight. water dragons are similar in care requirements and in general (especilly chinese water dragon) tend to be much more apt to handeling.
