Well ive been busy with the rescued male and female redtails.

A couple of days after I posted ifrst time the female had a huge defecation and a massive prolapse. Her defecation was bone dry just like the conditions I got her out of. I Immediately got her into a soaking tub as I had no vets that could see her until monday (happened late fri night). Vet check went well she cooperated with everything (perfect little angel). Doc couldn't get the prolapse to reinsert (what a nasty process that is). Took a swab and an Xray. I have had to have her in a mesh bag and in the water 24/7 ever since. Poor gal has some serious water retention issues now lolx2. After getting the tests back found out she had enormous Arimonus bacterium load small loads are normal for most all snakes but hers was off the charts. I have had to give her antibiotic injections for 14 days and am on day 7. What a trooper. GOOD news is that thge prolapse is almost completely retreated back into the vent. just a very small amount of tissue left out and she expelled some urates with out any problem. I named her Dulce (means Sweet). And now she is in blue and waiting to shed. Not easy to give shots to when she can't see what's going on.(freaks out a little)

The male is doing FANTASTICALLY he shed a few days later and is gorgeous. I named him Adriano (meaning Dark) he has a few scars that may not go away from how the previous owner was feeding them (live left in alone until consumed sometimes a day ). He was thin and sagging so I have started him on small rats every few days and he is gaining weight. He is constantly on the move and is gentle as can be (curious too) always up "in your face" as soon as you open the cage.

The broken and ducttaped glass front was replaced with a plexi sliding front so I don't have to pull them in and out of the 1x1 hole in the top. Replaced the burned out bulb and added another dome to raise the heat where it should be. Mist daily to keep humidity up.

Well that is all I can say for now I will post again as soon as I can get some pics of the two of them.
