In 1998 our friend from boanet.de (Frankfurt/Main, Germany) got one Black Pearl baby from a clutch of imported normal looking Costa Rican Boas, a female. The next clutch of the same parents in 2000 gave him also one Black Pearl Baby, this time a male.
This pair was the basis of this new mutation. In 2004 we breed them together and the Black Pearl male also with a normal female to prove out the genetics. In August 2004 we got the clutch of the normal female, all looking quite normal.
6 weeks later we got our first clutch from the Black Pearl female. ALL BABYS ARE BLACK PEARL BOAS. We are very happy about this
Thanks
Matt
