Take a small, but confortable-for-the-snake-in-question box and fold the four flaps in the in/out in/out pattern (you know what I mean, right?
Choose a box which is going to fold-in tightly.
Put a (preferably frozen-thawed) prey item in the box, near where you might guess the snake will be (wherever that might be =0) and leave it overnight.
It has been the case that the snake will slide in the box and eat the prey and then be too fat to slide back out, so it will just chill.
Also, if the snake is not too small and delicate, you can try tape traps. ----- Jeremy J. Anderson
