It is obvious that nobody can claim to know everything about a given snakes "entire" genealogy, so I think it's safe to say that's not what I meant when I stated my position. My point was simply that neither side of this animals lineage is known to have any Diamond influence, which is a claim that has more of a basis than a statement that asserts the animal "does" have Diamond influence strictly on the basis of its appearance. By your own definition that is an unfounded position to take.
