Your female will not gain weight. Her weight will likely get
re-distributed to make her look larger in certain areas, but
without eating or drinking she cannot gain weight.
If your other female is 500g and eating a lot (once or more than
once per week), she can be up to breeding size in the fall of '05
or early '06. Note: My definition of 'breeding size' is any female
that is over ~1400g with great body mass.
In general, larger females will lay larger clutches. But not
always! My experience has shown that an animal that is ~1500g
can lay anywhere from 4-8 eggs. A female that is ~2500g will
usually give ~6-10 eggs. Of course, these are just rules-of-thumb.
There are always exceptions.
