This is going to make everyone wonder.I have a buddy that has an adult male chameleon and he does a lot wrong and I can tell him any different because the chameleon has lived this long and is an awsome friendly chameleon that seems to be healthy.

1) He never shuts the lights off at night the lights run 24/7

- the chameleon still goes to sleep even though he is pretty well right under the light.

2)He never mists the cage or he doesnt have a humidifier or anything to keep humidity up.

- to make his chameleon drink a few times a week or less he drips water off his finger and feeds it to the cham.

3)He only has a 60 watt bulb and the chameleon is in an open uncaged enclosure he just hangs out in the tree that he has all day and it cant be anything over 85 under the light.

- I notice that the chameleon is brown i know that means that he is trying to take in a lot of heat and sunlight but with age they also go brown so.

4) He never uses UVB he says the UV coming through the window is good enough.



This Chameleon is approaching his third year and has no apparent problems this just makes you wonder about the excess care of these thing and makes you wonder how this thing is fine and how other people that take great care of theirs and theirs dies. Does anyone have any input on how this chameleon is thriving in his habitat under these situations. Because I am frustrated how I am spending all of this time and he does not much work my mind is boggled after i saw this.
