Did you gas him or something? Next time couple of times just snap it's neck, they're be no chemical traces, it'll be at the right temps and it'll get him used to eating p/k food. After a while you can try him on f/t. If you're quick enough with the snap and feed you can still get a couple of good twitches out of the mouse to fool your obviously wonderful eater (thats something to be happy about at least).
