Posted by: vtec at Wed Mar 9 19:35:53 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by vtec ] I just bought a zoo-med heat pad for my 20 gallon-long tank because my heat bulb just blew and I am tired of having a red light always in my room. I think I read somewhere that it isn't good to put the heat on the side of their favorite hide for whatever reason. I once had a heatpad under his tank (the pad is now on my baby albinos tank) and the substrate under his favorite hide never got hot, just felt a little warm. Is there any adverse effects to heating their favorite hideside besides the possibility of burning their bellies? [ Hide Replies ]
