centralian or bredls python Morelia bredli

I assume this python goes in this forum but lets ge ton with it. Why haven't I heard about this guy much he seems like he would make a great pet. I was having trouble finding full grown prey item, what would it be? Would a cage with the dimensions of 36" long, 18" wide, and 24" high be big enough? Would I be able to keep it on rats, or would I be feeding rabbits( they are available its just the jump in price)? I have some experience with snakes but not this large I have a ball python, childrens python, vine snake, corn snake, and a gopher snake. ANy other useful information or links to sites about anything good on these guys would be good.
