Remember our emails about Ms Peach?

I recently hired a fellow to do some brush mowing for me. He has an 11 year old stepson "Colton" who likes snakes, and last night he brought him over to see mine. What a nice kid and he REALLY loves boas

I have several boas in shed, and some more who had just eaten, and others who were nearing impending poopage. However, dear Ms Peach had just pooped, so she "represented" for the evening. Colton, who is small for his age, sat in a big chair with Ms Peach draped back and forth across his lap and the chair. She is a big 'ole girl and just a dear, gentle sweetheart. We visited for two hours, all the time with him slow stroking her back.

I love Ms Peach. She never once even attempted to crawl away....not even in the beginning. I think, on some level, she enjoys hanging out with humans, because she is always this way. Whatever it is, she was so good with him. You should have seen his face. He was in heaven with that big orange girl across his lap. His movements were very slow and deliberate, and I only had to tell him about slow movements once. You could tell by watching him with her, he will be a "natural" boa holder

His stepfather, Ryan, is NOT a snake person. He is a big, husky guy that will not even touch one...and I respect that. What is so cool - is that he took the time to bring the boy over so he could enjoy them.

As they were leaving, he said he had been thinking of getting Colton a boa sometime in the future. I think the boy would take good care of one. He seems very mature for his age and listened to everything I said. They saw my enclosures and I told them if they would invest in a proper environment for one, I would give him one of my normals this season.

I think there is one more future herper in the world, with a loving stepfather, who now sees snakes in a different light, and no longer believes the only good snakes are dead ones. All because of precious Peaches

All I regret is that I should have taken pics.....dern it. I always forget the camera at the special times.
