If you're going to the vet anyway, you might as well bring the snake...sometimes Snakey (my Corn Snake) prefers to stay away from the heat...sometimes he's very cold...but he's always healthy...each time I pick him up, his tail wraps around my fingers with good force...actually...Snakey hardly basks at all...good luck
