If this is the case get her into a good feeding habit by feeding her small prey as often as possible. She will get more comfortable eating for you and then you can bump her up to rats that are just slightly thicker than she is in the largest part. A medium rat for a thousand gram female if you want her to get big. For now feed her small rats or rat pups as often as possible if she will eat them, if she only wants mice feed her one a day as long as she will take them and that will really pump up her feeding response. Just watch your hands when they go in the cage. Then try to switch to small rats or rat pups that have been rubbed against a large mouse really well. Also try raising the temps in her cage a little to get her out of any winter fast she may be on. | ||
