They are used to deliver inhaled steroids and asthma medications. They were invented to deliver a high output of mist over a relatively short time frame. Just a single disk "fogger in a viv at optimum water depth can output approx. 200 mil of mist (water) per hour. This is an output of more than 6 oz. of water for each hour the fogger operates. That A LOT of moisture to be absorbed over a relatively short time frame. Putting the fogger on a timer solves this problem and allows the mist time to dissipate and the viv to establish an equilibium before the timer kicks on again. Play with the timer until you get the optimum performance for your set-up. NOW, if you could just help me solve the problem of my fogger eating up the little ceramic disks (membranes) I would be eternally grateful. LOL I buy them 5 at a time and go through about 1 per month! | ||
