Doug,
She's learning some new behaviors? Or, perhaps she was just hoping for a meal? It's good that you can find the humor in the situation.

Several years back my husband brought home a beautiful adult striped albino calking. As I was handling and admiring the "docile" creature, he suddenly did one of those backwards lunge things, and latched on to my neck!

Then, he refused to let go! Twenty minutes later, some tequila (for both the snake and me) and a credit card, he let go, but not before leaving me with a huge red mark that looked just like a hicky! The next day a couple people at work tried teasing me about the mark. When I told them how I got it, it was priceless to watch the smirks literally evaporate from their faces!

I theorize that he caught the movement of my dangly earring, and thought it was a food item. He ate 3 f/t jumbo adult mice that night, so he definately was hungry.
