The heat tape on the rails like that allowed the to sit back from the tubs and away from the reflectix giving it that all important air space. But it's working great so far. The heat tape runs on and off, only gets up to about 95 degrees, and holds the back side of the tubs at about 89-90 and the front at about 79-80. Some of the tubs are really really tight, I'm gonna have to tweak something there but all in all it's not too bad for my first very over-priced rack. The vinyl has held up to one hell of a beating so far just putting it together and as tight as some of the tubs are it's not showing any signs of tearing......yet.
