see, this is what happens when you get out of the loop!! Last summer (yes, you HAVE been gone a long time) I was asked to care for a friend's AFC and 5 Mad. Hissers when she went north for the summer. She just retired from teaching and had them in the classroom. Well, summer turned into fall and we now have joint custody - LOL!! Her students named him - actually, I call him Skippy-doodle My cat Kyndra loves to watch him buzz around and come up for food. She just sits next to his tank and watches him.

It is only the females that I got into that "a" thing after I realized I was doing unintentionally. My male pygmy cham was Bart (as in Simpson - looked just like him!). It's sort of a relief to have some boys around the house so I don't have to stick to the "a" ending. All the hissers are girls (2 have died ) but I have not named them - yet! The beardie I am getting is a boy and he was born with a kinked tail - Sonia calls him Sum Ting Wong - I just call him Kinky!

Hey, Nonama just might work! My problem with naming her is b/c of my pinktoe that I used to have. her name was Tula Rose (OK, sort of mixed it up a bit) and I called her many variations - well, I am calling the Chilean all those same "Rose" nicknames. I feel bad - she is 7 or 8 years old and the previous owner never named either one. Natasha came from the Who song "Boris the Spider" which then made me think of Rocky and Bullwinkle's Boris and Natasha - a normal transition - no?

btw, living in New England many folks (with their funny accent) will say his name as Skippa anyway! lol!!
