Posted by: reptilecare at Mon Jul 18 14:41:04 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by reptilecare ] While I have not had the experience of using the ALIFE 1000 thermostat I have many BAH-1000 thermostats which are somewhat similar but have a 110 degree auto safety cutoff built in. There are those companies that will tell you they are unsafe simply because the are lower cost and they want to steer you towards the more expensive units they sell. I have been using BAH 1000 thermostats for many years which are sold at Big Apple Herp (bigappleherp.com) and I have never had a failure on any of my units. I can tell you that if it is within your budget you should get a Herp Power Proportional thermostat or Helix system. Herp Powers are my favorite but both are good proportional thermostats. Its just my opinion but I know what is inside a Ranco and Johnson Control and it is not something that I would personally use. Again, these are my personal opinions and experience. | ||
