Found my first snake of the year this morning, a Western diamondback. It was 60*F. at about 9:30 am. It was a nice, fat adult coiled outside a rock pile. Springtime snakes will find ways to raise their body temps when the air temp is cooler. I think temps in the 60's are fine. Look for places where the snakes could be sunning or getting warmed by surface objects, like tin, etc. | ||
