That makes sense, although I don't remember ever hearing that, or having a bevel on 1/8" glass for that matter.



Is the edge pretty smooth?

Well increase ventilation or decreasing wattage but I'm guess neither of those are really what you want to do.



If you have a lot of thermal mass on the hot end you could try moving it to the cool end. Heavy rocks would be the most likely culprits.





Cause I made 4 that are 3`l x 2`w x 18"h and I have a 35w halogen bulb on one side close to the vent that is 8"h x 16"l and it gets like 85-95 on the cool end but is the right temp right under the light. The cages are for bearded dragons. Thanks
