I agree with Yasser.

Although their color isn't quite right, color can be tough to decipher in photos, so I ignored that and looked at things like pattern and physical structure. The nostrils aren't flared like they should be on a WP (or even on a Jungle) and the head is more elongated, so the head structure was the first red flag to me as being indicative of Coastal influence. There's also the lateral striping, which is another trait typical of mcdowelli.

I don't intend any offense by this post, as I do honestly think those are really good looking Carpets. I have nothing against crosses, so I'm just being realistic and unbiased about what I think they are.

What's funny is that the self-proclaimed purists out there want to crucify the guys who are advertising their animals as intergrades or hybrids, yet this is the kind of stuff being sold as pure. lol

When I see animals like those sold as pure, it just furthers my stance on documentation of animals. Whether someone is for or against crosses, this is the kind of thing that makes documentation so vitally important. I have no problem with crosses, but I want to know as much as possible about all my animals, pure and "designer" alike.

Just my .02

>>Matt,

>>I strongly feel that those two girls are not pure WPs.

>>The head structure is quite different than typical WPs. Much more like a coastal. And the tendency for lateral striping is something rarely, if ever, seen in WPs. And the pic of the one at 8 weeks is showing body and eye color not indicative of a pure WP. At 8 weeks, a pure WP is still very red in color. You can see the difference for yourself in comparison with your male. I assume you already were questioning these two girls background.

>>Where did you pick those girls up from? I know of a few clutches of WP X Coastals produced last year.

>>Pretty snakes nonetheless!
