Posted by: drimes at Wed Mar 30 17:51:42 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by drimes ] I'm not going to get into the debate about whether or not you should give supplements to your snakes, but one thing you might not have thought about is, in the wild boas eat a variety of foods(different vitamins and minerals and fat content). And those prey items consume a variety of foods(again a variety of vitamins and minerals). So by feeding our snakes the same rats, raised on the some rat chow, year after year they could very well be missing some thing they need. I think the RIGHT supplement might not be a bad idea. What that is is still unknown. But people willing to try different things with some of their collections is how we might learn what will benifit and what won't. | ||
