I have a 2 year old CWD. She is obviously gravid. I can feel the lumps in her abdomen. I am giving her calcium glubionate twice weekly. She is not eating (I gave her a lttle chicken baby food with the calcium on Sunday). She has a laying box, in addition to the bottom of the viv which is eco-earth. She was doing a little digging, but I have not noticed any in the past few days. She is still green, still climbing up and down from the pool and back up to her favorite basking spot. The viv temps, humidity, lighting are all within acceptable parameters (MV UVB). Mader says in iguanas that 8 weeks should cover the egg laying process. How long do I wait for her to oviposit before I panic? She is sharing a viv with another female and a male CWD. What are the egg-binding signs? I understand I only have about 48 hrs. to save her if she begins to have a problem. BTW, my daughter's CWD (3 1/2) has laid numerous clutches of eggs without difficulty, but it never seemed to take this long. Please help if you can and Thank You.
