What do you do when your snake gets a mouth full of dirt?

My BPs enclosure is lined with that bed-a-beast, and occasionally he gets a little overzealous when he eats, and will miss his strike, and get a mouthful of dirt. it looks like its a huge pain in the butt for him to clean out his mouth. what can I do to help him?
