I have been watching my Salmon Pastels and my normal Salmons change colors and have come up with some understandings. I would love to hear what everyone else thinks on this subject.

There is a band or a ribbon of black/blue speckles that streams down the sides of my Salmon Pastels. I have noticed that when that band starts diminishing and narrows the color of the animal gets more pronounced as well.

I believe that band to be the actual pigment for the animals skin. I have some of the normal pastels that actually were gray color and as that color diffused through the body and dissapeared the reds showed up. Has anyone else ever noticed this in their animals? Thanks Andy
