I have started a few breeding projects and considering a small Dumeril group as well. I have always kept BPs but have owned red tails before, so hoping the essentials aren't too far off.
First, I have read the temps should be in the mid 80's on the hot side of the enclosure. Well, I have a rack set up where temps range about 92 - 94 under the hides for my BPs. Would this fry a Dumeril even though they live in dry, arid conditions in the wild? Second, what is the average clutch size for these boas? What is the mean price for a hatchling? I want to make sure breeding them is worth the effort, otherwise, I would prefer a different species since caring for multiple animals is costly. Last, can large adults be housed in a 35 x 17 x 6 sweater boxes or is this too small?
TIA and best of luck to all this season,
Todd
