If you have a look at that picture of the the carrot tail, the carroting isn't broken up by black spots in the first 10-15%.

The orange has to be solid without breaks in it. Have a look at the picture above of the baldy, that is a good picture of a carrot tail. You can also look at pictures at some of the bigger breeders online to see good examples of carrot tails.
