Hey Eve,
I have had my female for a few weeks, and am receiving a male in the next couple days. The ambient temp in my basement during the daytime is also in the higher 60's, and I have a 40 W basking spot. At first I anticipated her not to use it based on what I have read, but wanted to at least offer it. However, she uses it quite often, but she may also be gravid, so I don't know if that makes a difference. If the cage is large enough, then your Werneri should be able to thermoregulate as they please. I also have much higher humidity conditions for her than my other chams, and I often find her right under the humidifier piping. Good luck with them.
