You should make it as large as possible. Whoever says otherwise is misinformed. Some will argue that with hatchlings, a small enclosure should be used so they can feel 'secure'. I happen to disagree even with that as long as there are a couple of small hides in the enclosure (for a hatchling that is). But in this case since its an 8footer, go the largest you can. Hope this helps.




>>we just rescued an 8 foot burmese python. never had a large snake before. she looks in perfect health. but the tank she was left with is way too small so we are going to build an enclosure for her. how large should this be? i have read that they dont really need that much room but i would like to spoil her a little. is there a reason they should not have very large enclosure. im having some problems with my research because every site i go to tells me something different so i figured i would ask here if you could direct me to some websites that heve the "correct" information. thanks for any help.
