To start them on the route to breeding, most start in Oct by slowly dropping their night time temps and begin introducing your male to the female. By March most have returned the night temps to normal and then it is a waiting game to see wich of the females took and are gravid. Technically you can cycle balls at any time but most do it Oct - March. I highly recommend getting the DVD Breeding ball pythons you can get it from www.ballpythons.com Definately worth while if you want to breed your ball python. I would say for now wait until next fall so that you know your female is eating and a good weight and it gives you a while to research it.
