I pulled an insect/arachnid/thing off my New Rescue BP female.
It was hidden under a scab like area on her skin/hide/scales
Afer she shed it was clear to see on her side, I grabbed it at the head/neck, held a bit, then it came off pretty esily. When I looked closely at it I saw it is/was Nearly perfectly round, and appeard to have a harder back. Legs were clearly visible (sp?) but not enough to be able to count them (I have to get a microscope)
This critter was relatively big, bigger than a sesame seed, but not as big as an engorged dog tick, maybe as big as one before it started to eat

I thought mites were smaller than poppy seeds. The ones i saw at a petstore in some small town in PA I was in, looked WAY tiny, like specks of pepper, and climbing around the skin of the animal (poor thing) and dirt mites are brown/red and small as well.
Do BP get ticks?
where would they come from, are they dangerous to my animal, etc and will prevent-A-Mite get rid of them (if there is more than one)
did I forget to ask anything?
