this kinda sounds fishy. Green tree pythons are a somewhat more expensive snake. I wouldn't trust my cousin (who knows nothing about snakes) to watch over them and leave him with no instructions. If it is true, your best bet would be to tell your cousin you are not able to watch his snakes. I'm sure he could find someone else.
