If it's a mark vertical to the dorsal spine and it's located near the base of the tail above the cloaca, it's more than likely where the umbilical cord was. Yes, they do have umbilical cords attached to the yoak. Most absorb this before leaving the shell but some do emerge with the yoak still attached to their umbilical cord. | ||
