I empathize with your frustration ;-/
She will dig a hole as far down as she can go, turn around, back in and lay so she will not be anywhere near the surface and if the tub is deep enough you will likely not see her at all. Do keep an eye on her - the best you can - to make sure she is not having trouble and is eggbound. adcham.com as an article on it.
is she warm enough in there? if there is anyway you can get a basking light on the tub it would be helpful. Doesn;t need to be real close but enough to keep her temp up. Of course, if you can do this without disturbing her too much. Keep me posted! ----- 0.1 Veiled - Luna
