I was just thinking, geez I don't think I'm supposed to like this guy. Why am I celebrating on this day, particularly when I'm Italian? Anyway, the stories of Saint Patrick and the snakes are likely a metaphor for his bringing Christianity to Ireland and driving out the pagan religions (serpents were a common symbol in many of these religions). So where was PETA when all of these innocent snakes were drowned? Yeah right, like they's really care about THOSE ANIMALS! | ||
