" Are there really that many more breeders or has the demand just fallen for such beautiful animals??"

Well yes and yes in my opinion.
There at least 10 breeders now I can think of off the top of my head and I am sure there are more. The supply of Bredls has skyrocketed due to the number of breeders and the large clutches Bredli are very capable of producing. The fact that most Bredls produced have yet to show the true potential of the species I bleieve has caused some folks to look to other species for the bright colors they want. Bredls have huge potential to be selectively bred. There are some knockouts floating around some collections out there. This price drop you speak of will encourage folks to hopefully begin some careful breeding of only the most colorful specimens. You can equate this to the Jungle carpet market. You can get a plain old drab Jungle for $75 or you can spend $250-500 for a trophy. I guarantee this will be the same situation with Bredli down the road. Ugly Bredli will be quite cheap but bright red ones with reduced black will go for far more.
Just my 2 cents.
BTW, this pic of of our adult male we have...Lazik line
