Heating pads

I finally got around to building my enclosure for my Dumeril. Since I used 3/4" meleamine, a under-tank heating pad cannot be used underneath. Can it be used inside? If not what other forms of bottom heating do you guys/gals use for Dums inside such a enclosure?
