My Taiwan lives in a 4'x2'x17.5" Boaphile cage. He's about 7.5 foot long and uses every bit of the space. I've found that Taiwans are active, inquisitive, snakes and if I had the room, I'd have a larger enclosure with more climbing space (vertical). They grow fast in their first few years, so if you're buying hatchlings, be prepared to move up in cage sizes.
All of my snakes are caged separately, I find it easier to monitor their health and feed them when they're only one to a cage. With my Taiwan, he's such an avid feeder, I really need to watch him. As soon as I bring a rat into the room, he's immediately looking for the prey item and has launched himself out of the cage to get it (and that's why I use long hemostats to offer rats to him). I don't know that I'd want to be trying to dodge 2 hungry snakes when I opened the cage door !
